NEXT STEPS AT PMC
Everyone has a unique faith journey—but there are a few basic first steps that provide opportunities to grow in your walk with Christ. Next steps in your faith journey:
DECIDE TO FOLLOW JESUS
Place saving faith in Christ as your Lord and Savior.
GET BAPTIZED
This public demonstration shows you personally trust Jesus for your salvation.
WHO WE ARE
We are a local community of faith, first conceived in 1846 and formally organized in 1874. Since those early days, we have been committed to being a church WITHIN Plymouth Meeting, as well as a church that is IN-WITH the people of Plymouth Meeting.
Growing as a follower of Jesus includes putting into practice the things you are learning about him and from him.

Worship Regularly
Worshiping together strengthens and encourages us. Attending church gatherings on campus or online every week is a great place to start. Join in the “dance” with the life and love of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Sunday in-person: 9:30am
- Sunday online: 11am
- 2nd and 4th Sunday: Prayer + Worship 7pm
Connect With God
God desires a personal relationship with you. The more you known him, the better life can be from the inside out. The best way to connect with God is to pray and read the Bible on a regular basis.
- It’s okay to start by reading and chewing a little on Scripture.
- Try verseoftheday.com
- Read The Good and Beautiful God by James Bryan Smith
Be Countercutural
God calls us into a life that has us thinking and acting differently from the world around us. As we are discipled (taught) by Jesus, we want to follow his example.
- Develop a pace of life that is different from the pace of the world. Honor your weekly and monthly rhythms
- Read the Bible and Christian theology books; talk to God regularly; live with intentionality
- Practice an active faith; activism is a mark of our good news lifestyle
Do Life Together
Join up with a Christ-centered group and cultivate communal life with others–it helps us connect with God and navigate life. In community, when we practice hospitable conversation that seeks out Jesus-shaped human flourishing, we give ourselves the opportunity to grow.
- 11am Wed Zoom Group
- 7pm Wed Zoom Group
- Ladies on Fire (2nd and 4th Friday)
- Men’s Group (2nd and 4th Thursday)
- More groups to come!
Serve Others
God has equipped you with skills and talents. Serving with PMC and in our community helps build for the kingdom of God.
- See an area of need? Join in or ask how you can help
- We can help you identify your spiritual gifts
- Read Servant Evangelism by Reid and Wheeler
Share Your Story
The greatest act of love you can show toward a friend is to help that friend find Jesus. The best way to do this is to share Jesus’ story and your story.
- Make a list of the people you can pray for and list one intentional way you can connect with them or encourage them this week
Live Generously
We can never give God more than he has already given us. When we give, we asre using our blessings to bless others so they can experience life with him too!
- Practice giving a tithe (10 percent) of your income on a regular basis
- Look for ways to give special offerings beyond your tithe to be a blessing to others
- Develop a plan to live under your means (and definitely not above)
- Think about other resources (time, skills, etc.) you have that would bless others
